Myrtle Beach in the Fall
Myrtle Beach is not just a summer vacation
destination it’s great in the fall too! Myrtle Beach locals
love the weather in the fall. It’s still warm enough to go out
during the day without a jacket, but it is cool after the sun goes
down.
There are many
things to do in Myrtle Beach besides go in the water. The north
end of Myrtle Beach (North Myrtle Beach and Little River) caters to
a little bit of an older crowd. The Shag, a popular southern dance,
was actually invented in North Myrtle Beach.
The SOS Fall Migration is a festival that celebrates the Shag. Old
and young people alike commemorate the Shag at this popular festival.
Many people travel to North Myrtle Beach from throughout the United
States to tell stories about the dance, and of course do the Shag.
Myrtle Beach has many other festivals as well. The South Carolina
Blue Grass Festival in the fall welcomes blue grass performers from
all over. You can enjoy the music by singing and dancing, as well
as partaking in the local cuisine.
Bikers make the trip
to Myrtle Beach for the Myrtle Beach Fall Bike Rally. It’s
a great way to meet other bikers who share a passion
for motorcycles, as well as enjoy the great Myrtle Beach fall
climate.
Whatever the reason you travel
to Myrtle Beach, don’t discount it as just a summer sun
spot. You can travel there any time of the year and still have a great
time!
