Myrtle Beach is Something Unexpected

Myrtle Beach has become a location known not only for its golf courses, but the fabulous string of special events that are held in and around the area every year. While some people may plan their entire vacation around one of these events, others will be glad to find such events to look into on their vacation. Either way there is almost always something special to see in Myrtle Beach.

One string of events is several motorcycle rallies. The Atlantic bike fest, one such rally, was originally planned by the Carolina Knights with around a hundred participants in 1980. Since then it has grown into a town wide event that brings in nearly 400,000 visitors and thousands of motorcyclists each year. Carolina Harley-Davidson Dealers Association Myrtle Beach Rally is another rally that has become quiet popular. People from all over the country and overseas organize their Myrtle Beach vacation at this time of year specifically to join the festivities. Black Bike Week is yet another festival, which has become a popular time for some people to plan a vacation.

But Myrtle Beach’s famous festivals aren’t all about motorcycles. There is the annual Sun Fun Festival which has been held for over half a century. With a Myrtle Beach vacation you will always find something unexpected. Spend a vacation on the sands or on the greens, enjoy some of the local festivals, and don’t forget the Grand Strand, 60-miles of beautiful sand.
